Sadio Mane: Liverpool Can Win The Champions League

Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane believes the club can win the Champions League for the first time in 13 years.

Liverpool are in the quarter-finals of the competition having beaten Porto in the last-16.

They will go into Friday’s draw for the next round full of confidence with the likes of Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino firing in the goals.

Liverpool have found the net 106 times across all competitions this season, with that deadly trio contributing near to 70 of them.

And Mane sees no reason why Jurgen Klopp’s Reds cannot go all the way to Kiev and lift the trophy for the sixth time.

Mane said: "There are almost only top clubs left in the race.

"We are all aware that if you want to become a champion you must be Champions.

"We've got the quality to beat every team in the world. And we'll try exactly that."

Why should Liverpool not be on top in 2018? We want to win the Champions League. I am convinced we can do it for the first time since 2005."

Liverpool’s most recent Champions League success was perhaps their most famous.
