Lionel Messi Reveals Crazy Diet That Made Him SICK At Barcelona

Lionel Messi has revealed he used to make himself Sick when playing because of his terrible diet.



Messi is widely considered as one of the best footballers to have ever played the game.


Rhe Barcelona star, now 30, has been named the world player of the year five times.


The four-time Champions League winneris paid a reported €2million a week at Barcelona.


And his career has never really endured a bad patch despite his terrible diet.


Messi has revealed himself in a frank interview on Argentine TV that his diet early in his career caused him to be sick on the pitch.


"I ate badly for many years,” he told America TV.


“At 22, 23 years old I had no idea and did not think about it.


“I ate chocolate and gingerbread and drank lemonade.


“I eat healthy now: fish, meat, salad.


“From time to time I drink a glass of wine.


“I immediately felt the change..


Lionel Messi is set to play for Argentina in friendlies against Italy and Spain over this next fortnight.


He has already helped Barcelona carve out a huge lead in La Liga, while the club have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.


Messi signed a new contract at Barca last year which runs until the end of the 2021 season.


He has previously expressed his desire to play for Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina before he retires.
