Neymar has reportedly asked Paris Saint-Germain for a pay rise to stop him joining Real Madrid.
The world-record £198million attacker has been courted by the 11-time Champions League winners over the last few months.
And now Neymar's dad has told PSG chiefs to up his 26-year-old son's £600,000-a-week pay or face losing him, according to The Times.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director
Antero Henrique met with the Neymar's representatives last week in
Brazil.
It is reported they discussed the former Barcelona star's
future and also checked in on him as he recovers from his metatarsal
injury.
Al-Khelaifi insisted Neymar is going nowhere in the summer.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has made it known he is a big admirer of Neymar.
Perez, speaking at the Ballon d'Or award ceremony in December, said:
"Being in Madrid would make it easier to win the Ballon d’Or.
“Real Madrid is a club which gives all you need as a big
player. Everybody knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point.”
Real could try and play on Neymar's clear unhappiness with
some aspects of life in the French capital, while their position could
have been strengthened after they knocked PSG out of the Champions League.
