Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Contract Extention Stalls Yet Again

Eden Hazard is reportedly stalling on a contract extension with Chelsea in hope of a move to Real Madrid.

The Belgium international has been offered a new £300,000-a-week deal but he is expected to hold out until the end of the season before making a decision.

Hazard has two-and-a-half years left on his current contract but the Blues are keen to tie him down for longer.

The attacker has been in scintillating form havingscored nine goals for Chelsea as they sit third in the Premier League table.

And the Times report that Hazard remains happy at Stamford Bridge.

However, his preference is apparently a move to the Bernabeu.

The 26-year-old is not expected to commit his future until after the World Cup next summer.

Hazard’s Belgium were drawn in the same group as England for the tournament.

Hazard scored his ninth goal of the season by dinking a penalty down the middle against Newcastle.

And he will potentially come up against team-mates Gary Cahill and Danny Drinkwater.

England face Belgium in the final group match on Thursday, June 28.

Chelsea return to Champions League action against Atletico Madrid tonight (7.45pm) and they need only one point to guarantee top spot in the group.
