Shocking!! Three Man United Stars Go Missing Before Watford

An own goal from De Andre Yedlin doubled Watford’s lead before Andre Gray wrapped things up.

The victory leaves Watford in 8th, two points behind Liverpool and three behind Spurs.

Watford’s home form has been substantially poorer than their record on the road this season, while the opposite can be said of Man United.

The Red Devils have lost three of their last four matches away from home.

Man United followed up their midweek Champions League defeat with a narrow 1-0 win over Brighton, courtesy of an own goal from Lewis Dunk.

Jose Mourinho admitted after the match that he thought Brighton deserved more.

With Man City only in action on Wednesday night, United have the chance to temporarily close the gap on the league leaders to five points.

Three Man United stars go missing

Man United travelled down south on Monday before the Watford game.

That afforded journalists the chance to spot who is in Man United’s travelling party.

Three players were nowhere to be seen with the Red Devils squad.

Victor Lindelof was part of the travelling squad after his excellent performance at Old Trafford and Mourinho will hope his confidence has been restored.

Eric Bailly and PhilJones, who have missed the last three games with injury, were not spotted by MEN photographers.

Over in the Times on Tuesday, another absent player was noted:

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was in good form at the start of the season, was not part of the squad who travelled to Hertfordshire by train last night.
