Tottenham Eyeing Prodigious Championship Starlet To Replace Danny Rose

Rose actually only recently returned to first-team action for Tottenham, having been out of action since January with a knee problem.

The 27-year-old had established himself as one of the finest full-backsin the English top-flight over recent seasons, with his stellar showings before his injury last season having led to heavy links with Manchester United.

Rose was slated during the summer when he suggested that he was worth far more than he was being paid at White Hart Lane, only helping in intensifying rumours that he could be set for an exit from North London.

And, after being left out by Mauricio Pochettino for his side’s crunch derby clash with Arsenal two weekends ago, Rose was completely omitted from the Spurs squad who took on West Brom on Saturday.

As such, many have claimed that it is now more a matter of when the stopper will be moving on, rather than if.
And, as per the aforementioned report from the Telegraph, Tottenham are already eyeing a replacement for Rose, in the form of highly-regarded Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon.

Despite having only turned 17 in May, Sessegnon, an England U19 international, has already established himself as a mainstay in SlaviÅ¡a Jokanović’s Fulham side.

An attack-minded left-back known forhis ability to get forward to great effect while maintaining his defensive responsibilities, Sessegnon made 30 appearances for the Championship side last season, racking up a hugely impressive 7 goals and 3 assists from his full-back berth.

And he has carried his impressive form into the current campaign, appearing in all 19 of Fulham’s leaguegames to this point, with 4 goals and 2 assists to show for his efforts (including a hat-trick during an incredible 5-4 win over Sheffield United last week).

Along with Spurs, all of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with moves for Sessegnon, who is thought to hold a price-tag of around £30 million.
