Borrusia Dortmund's Mario Gotze Suffers Another Injury Ruled Out For Weeks(Details)

It was a car-crash weekend for Borussia Dortmund in the Ruhr derby.

Everything seemed to be going perfectly for Borussia Dortmund against Schalke in the first half.

BVB, who are struggling under boss Peter Bosz, took a 4-0 lead against Schalke in the Ruhr derby after just 25 minutes.

BAD NEWS FOR MARIO GOTZE

Gotze’s goal against Schalke was arguably the best goal of the game.

Scoring for the first time this season in the Bundesliga, Gotze headed home a brilliant cross from Aubameyang.

The goal was celebrated by the footballer’s partner, Ann Kathrin, on Instagram.

But sadly Gotze’s joy has quickly vanished at the start of the week.

That’s after Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the German World Cup winner is injured again.

In terrible news for the winger, Gotze has been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle ligament injury.

Gotze has been struggling with injuries for the past few seasons.

Those health problems were a key reason why his career at Bayern Munich never got off the ground.
