FC Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has drawn up a four-man shortlist to replace Luis Suarez.
Suarez is stuck in a rut at Barcelona having managed to
find the net just five times from 17 appearances across all
competitions.
Talk has been rife that manager Valverde is fed up with the
Uruguayan’s performances, and wants to trade him in for a younger model
at the end of the season.
And Spanish website Don Balon report Barcelona have now drawn up a four-man shortlist to replace the former Liverpool hitman.
Top of it is Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, who is being tipped to leave the La Liga side at the end of the season.
Manchester United are also pursuing his signature and are keen to bring him to Old Trafford a year after a deal first fell through.
However,Don Balon claim Barcelona may even invest in other players should they sign Griezmann as well.
They supposedly are in the mix for Tottenham forward Harry Kane.
But, despite insisting he is happy at Spurs, the England international would actually prefer to join Real Madrid instead.
Mauro Icardi and Gabriel Jesus are two other names on the list.
Icardi has been in sensational form for Inter Milan,
helping them challenge Napoli and Juventus for the Scudetto over in
Serie A.
The striker has dismissed talk of a move to Real but could
find the chance to play at Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi too good to
turn down.
Jesus, meanwhile, represents the future of Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola is unlikely to sanction a deal for the Brazil
international whose rise to prominence has helped City take the Premier
League by storm.
Yet with Sergio Aguero now established as City’s main man, he may be tempted to chance his arm elsewhere.
