Barcelona Summer Target Seri Slams Ousmane Dembele, Hails Kylian Mbappe

Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri has today criticized Ousmane Dembele for the attitude displayed by the youngster in pushing through his move to the Camp Nou during the summer, claiming that the winger should have adopted a similar approach to that of fellow countryman Kylian Mbappe, who made a ground breaking move of his own to PSG.

Following months of speculation,Dembele finally completed his long-anticipated move to Barcelonain August for a club-record fee potentially rising to almost 150 million Euro.

20-year-old Dembele enjoyed a stellar season for Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion in 2016/17, cementing himself as one of world football’s most coveted young stars.

A return of 10 goals and a staggering 21 assists in his debut campaign left Europe’s top sides scrambling for theservices of the wing wizard, with La Liga giants Barca having sought out the Frenchman to replace Neymar, following his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, much was made of the behaviour displayed by Dembele in forcing his dream move through, withfans of former club Dortmund said to have been particularly unimpressed by the starlet’s refusal to train with the club.

‘Not the attitude to adopt’

Speaking in an interview with Spanish outlet Sport earlier today, Nice star Jean Michael Seri, who saw his own move to the Camp Nou fall through inagonising fashion during the summer,criticised Dembele for his attitude:

‘For a young player like Dembele, that’s not the attitude to adopt. Whensomeone’s not well informed, they take decisions that are not correct.’

‘Then, after arriving at Barça, he got injured. Without the pressure he suffered and the tension, maybe he would not have got injured.’

The Ivorian went on to suggest that Dembele could learn a thing or two from fellow French prodigy Kylian Mbappe, who of course made the move from Monaco to PSG during the summer:

‘In contrast, Kylian Mbappe kept away from what was going on before signing for PSG.’
