Bayern Munich Boss Jupp Heynckes Makes Huge Transfer Admission

Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has reiterated comments made by CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that Robert Lewandowski will not be leaving the club.

Lewandowski is understood to be a major summer target For Real Madrid As they look to overhaul their squad after a disappointing La Liga campaign.

The Poland striker has made clear in the past that playing for Real would be a dream and reports in Spain suggested he had agreed on personal terms over a move.

But Bayern are steadfast in their refusal to entertain any bid for Lewandowski.

And Rummenigge said he was willing to bet Lewandowski would remain at Bayern.

He said: “I had a meeting with the ECA In Rome last Monday and Tuesday. There were also representatives of Real Madrid.

“No word was spoken about Robert Lewandowski.

"I think they know in Madrid that Lewandowski still has a contract for another three years here in Munich.

“Therefore, he will play at Bayern Munich next season. I will accept any bet on this matter."

Lewandowski, who scored a hat-trick against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, is set to start against Sevilla on Tuesday in the Champions League.

In his pre-match press conference, Heynckes was asked about the possibility of Lewandowski leaving.

And the Bayern boss was equally unequivocal about Lewandowski’s chances join Real Madrid.

He told reporters: ”Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already made this clear: Real Madrid have absolutely no chance of acquiring Robert."
