Benevento have done it!

The Italian minnows have captured worldwide attention for being so incredibly awful this season in Serie A.

After 14 rounds of the season they had lost 14 times. They had only scored six goals and they’ve conceded 34.

But then they faced Gennaro Gattuso’s AC Milan and the incredible happened.

Not only did Benevento pick up their first points of the season, but they did so in the most remarkable way possible.

In the final minute of second half injury time, Benevento goalie Alberto Brignoli scored 95th equaliser.

Brignoli launched himself into a terrific diving header following an in swinging cross from the right hand side.

It will surely go down as one of the great moments of the Serie A season.

Earlier in the match, Giacomo Bonaventura fired AC Milan into a first half lead.
George Puscas levelled for the hosts early in the second period, before Nikola Kalinic restored Milan’s advantage.
Alessio Romagnoli was sent off for Milan for two bookable offences 15 minutes from time.
