Man United Begin Transfer Talks With Bordeaux For Ligue 1 Star Malcom (Details)

Manchester United have upped their pursuit of Bordeaux star Malcolm with talks already underway.

Jose Mourinho is already on the lookout for fresh talent for the upcoming season after failing once again in his quest to challenge for the title.

Rivals Manchester City sit 13 points clear of the Red Devils in the Premier League table and Mourinho knows he needs fresh talent.

And forward Malcolm is the man who fits the bill.

Malcom joined the French side from Corinthians last year and has scored seven goals in 18 appearances this term.

And Reports claim United are working on a deal to snap him up.

Bordeaux want around £50m for 20-year-old but United are hoping to strike a deal worth £33m.

And in a bid to convince the French club to do business next month they are willing to sign him and then loan him back until the end of the campaign.

Bordeaux are already said to have a gentleman’s agreement in place with the Brazilian that will allow him to leave in the summer and there is no release clause.

Jose Mourinho believes Malcolm could be a huge hit in the Premier League.

United could face strong competition from Arsenal next month though with the Gunners also tracking his progress this season.

However, Mourinho will be hoping the board back him and he has made it clear how highly he rates Malcolm.

He believes he could be a Premier League star and United could enjoy the same success that City have endured with fellow Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.

City signed Jesus last summer and he has already netted 15 goals in 26 league appearances.
