Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wednesday
night became the first player in Champions League history to score in
every single group stage match in a season.
No football player has ever done so in the Europe’s elite competition.
CR7, as fondly called, set the record during his team’s home match against Borussia Dortmund.
In the 12th minute, Mateo Kovačić, fed Ronaldo who was at
the edge of the box, and the Portuguese forward guided a curled effort
into the top right-hand corner.
Four minutes earlier, Ronaldo cutsinside quickly from the
left flank and pokes a pass into the box andtowards Isco, who moves it
on to Mayoral and sets up the young striker to easily beat Burki from
close range.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder,Mateo Kovacic has backed Ronaldo to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
