Arsenal look set to win the race to sign Schalke Midfield Star Leon Goretzka Ahead Of Man United And Liverpool.
The German is out of contract at the end of the season and
is free to sign a pre-agreement deal with any foreign club in January.
Arsenal find themselves in a similar situation with former Schalke Defender Sead Kolasinac last year and waited untill weeks before the season end then sealed the deal for the Bosnian.
And Arsene Wenger is looking likely to make the same moves
with Leon Goretzka as the Gunners move closer to an agreement with the
midfielder, according to The Sun.
The 22year old is seen as one of the best youngsters
in the world of football today and has attracted interest from top
clubs in recent years with his ability to play in so many different
positions.
Goretzka looks set to leave the German Bundesliga despite efforts from his Club Schalke 04 to tie him down in a long term deal.
Schalke confirmed today that Goretzka is injured and will be ruled for some time which means a January move is unlikely.
That has increased Arsenal’s chances of signing the German to a pre-agreement as the Bundesliga Club will prefer to sell Goretzka to a buying club than to let him leave on a free transfer.
